Hi Out Of Office Crew! 🩷
Happy Songkran, aka Thai New Year, aka the biggest water fight in the world! I spent my last couple of days celebrating Songkran in Bangkok! Which has been so so much fun! It’s basically a really big city-wide water party.
I went to a festival, and on Monday I went out onto the streets and joined the water fights! It was really an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend experiencing Songkran in Bangkok at least once in your life! 🎉
Now let’s get into the deals..

🛂 Visa & Entry Updates
Paris airports and Eurostar are a mess right now. France activated the EU's new biometric Entry/Exit System (EES) on April 12–13 and it caused 4-hour queues at CDG, Eurostar and Eurotunnel. The system is supposed to digitally track your 90/180-day Schengen limit but the rollout has been chaotic. If you're flying through Paris or taking the Eurostar this week, build in serious extra time.
Lufthansa cancelled 80–90% of flights from Frankfurt and Munich on April 13–14. Cabin crew strike, fourth one this year. Over 50,000 passengers stranded. They are striking again today and tomorrow.
The UAE has gone fully paperless. Confirmed April 13: every category of UAE entry visa now goes through federal e-government portals or integrated airline/hotel channels. Paper forms are officially gone. If you're heading to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, make sure you sort everything digitally before you travel.
Flying through Ireland? Six days of fuel-price protests have been closing motorways and disrupting ports. 650 filling stations ran out of fuel at peak. Check your connections and have a backup plan if you're transiting.
