Hi Out Of Office Crew! 🩷

As you have probably seen on social media, i am currently in Barcelona! I absolutely love it so far. The weather is great, although we did have 2 big storms come through but they all happened at night. The people in my coliving are super fun, so i’m really enjoying my time here. It’s just a really good mix of working, relaxing and exploring.

In 2 days i’m leaving again unfortunately and traveling to Athens, which i am also very excited for! But leaving is always tough. I did find some cool travel deals, jobs and courses for you! Check it out below!

🎙️This weeks podcast

Of course, since i am now staying in one, i wanted this weeks podcast to be all about what it is like to stay at a coliving. What it is, what it’s like, how to book it and more. Colivings are quite new, but they are growing and i highly recommend them to anyone who combines work and travel! 🌱

☀️Travel deals & Inspiration

Let’s see what i found for you this week 👀

  • Now that we’re talking about Colivings… i book most of my colivings on coliving.com (use this link for up to €85 off on your second booking). I think the platform is super useful plus it has most colivings on there. Although its always worth googling “coliving + the city you’re in” just in case they are not on that platform.

  • If you are interested in writing and would love to learn more about freelance travel writing, i highly recommend checking out this course, by Katie M. She is also a full time digital nomad and has been traveling the world for years while writing about it for various companies like the BBC, the Guardian, The Telegraph and many more. I took her course and i loved it!

🌱Tools, apps & other

  • Here in Spain i’ve been using this app called TheFork to book all of my lunches and dinners. I used them before in Portugal and forgot about them but the a is awsome! Many restaurants offer significant discounts (think 50%) on your meals if you book through TheFork and come in at a unsual time (for Spanish standards). But for example yesterday, we went out for dinner at 20:00 and got 50% off on our food (drinks not included in the deals generally). Definitely worth checking out the app before you book your next dinner!

  • If you are traveling soon i highly recommend checking out UMI for your data needs! They are so so easy to instal, plus you only need 1 Esim. Just 1 esim on which you can load any data plan. I used to have to download a new one everytime i got to a new country which was quite annoying tbh.

👩🏼‍💻Remote jobs & more

Also this week i found some interesting jobs / travel opportunities!

🤓Random things I wanted to share with you

Of course i couldn’t go to Barcelona without visiting this beautiful building. So impressive!☀️

Did i share this yet? I launched a side project with 2 friends! We sell massage oil! We currently only ship to the Netherlands, but definitely give us a follow and support 🩷😊

I’m going to enjoy my last 2 days in Barcelona. Today i’m working for most of the day and night, but tomorrow morning i have a boat trip planned with some other people from the coliving, so i’m really looking forward to this!

And again, if you are still looking for something fun to do in September, consider joining me at the coliving in Greece. They still have some spots left! Check out Tursi coliving here.

Thank you for reading!
